How deep a love can in man be
that I am lost while you are free?
Among the fields of swaying breeze
And like the calm of summers ease
You look, I pray, for me
For what a sin is it to let it be?
I strike a pose, my hand at ease
within my loins a fire burns
the heat flush red upon my face
that in the depths there lies a place
a hidden truth so lost in space
be ye, this time I plead not beg
a spirit not aware of fear nor doubt
to wander down the path so barely lit
to see which truth lies there within
take from it the veil which blinds
my words now quake with force and pace
and rain like thunders flashing lines
awake! from slumbers heavy reach
with words to you that I now preach
be free my dove, release yourself
your words fall silent to ears so deaf
and dare I not romance of death, nor life
your eyes is all that I can see, and you in me?
See not my smile or my gaze
just feel the fire which lives within
and then perhaps, along the fields
we may just meet again, alone
our love forbidden will be just then
a story left to man unknown
